Republic day speech

  Republic Day

Indian Republic Day is celebrated on the 26th of January every year to mark the day when the Indian Constitution came into effect in 1950, replacing the Government of India Act (1935). It is a national holiday in India, and the day is marked by a grand parade in the capital city of New Delhi, attended by the President of India, who is the ceremonial head of the country.

The main feature of the Republic Day parade is a display of India's military might, including various regiments of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. The parade also features floats representing the diverse cultures of India and showcasing the country's technological achievements.

The Republic Day celebrations begin with the hoisting of the national flag by the President of India at the Rashtrapati Bhavan (President's House) in New Delhi, followed by the singing of the national anthem. The parade then proceeds along Rajpath, a ceremonial boulevard in the heart of New Delhi.

In addition to the parade, there are also cultural programs and competitions held in schools and colleges across the country. The day is an occasion to celebrate India's rich cultural heritage, as well as its achievements in various fields.
